With their independent yet affectionate nature, it’s no wonder why cats have found their way into countless hearts and homes. However, due to their immense popularity, there are also many cats that find themselves in need of a loving home. That’s where we come in.
At The Story Book Farm Sanctuary, we are passionate about rescuing and caring for our feline friends, making them our third main focus of rescue. Cats hold a special place in our hearts, and we are dedicated to ensuring they find their perfect forever homes.
Finding the Perfect Match
Our mission is to match the perfect cat with the perfect home. Over the years, we’ve had the joy of doing this many times, bringing happiness to both our feline residents and their new families. Unlike some of our other animal residents, cats are the only species at Story Book that we foster and adopt out to responsible homes.
Kittens in Need
We’re proud to be a foster for the local humane society, where we raise abandoned or stray kittens in need, often providing bottle-feeding and nurturing care. Currently, our cat sanctuary is home to 26 resident cats and kittens, with four of them being fostered with the utmost love and care.
Safe Outdoor Spaces
Did you know that the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is only two years, compared to the 17 years or more that indoor-only cats can enjoy? We’re passionate about educating our community on the benefits of indoor living for feline companions, and we’d be delighted to share how we constructed our outdoor catio areas with anyone interested in building one.
