Sanctuary Homes for Residents
At The Story Book Farm Sanctuary, our primary purpose is to provide sanctuary homes for animals in need. We open our hearts and gates to animals that have faced abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Our sanctuary is a place where they can heal, thrive, and experience the love they deserve. We believe in rewriting their stories with compassion and care.
Foster Care for Newborns, Seniors, and Special Needs
In addition to our permanent residents, we also offer foster care services for newborn, senior, and special needs animals. Our foster program allows us to extend our care and support to those who require a temporary home before finding their forever families. We provide them with nurturing environments where they can grow and receive the attention they need.
Stray, Abandoned, and Feral Animal Removal
Our commitment to animal welfare goes beyond our sanctuary’s walls. We actively work to remove stray, abandoned, and feral animals from businesses and residential areas in our community. By doing so, we ensure that these animals are taken out of potentially dangerous situations and given the chance to find loving homes.
Focus on the Most Vulnerable
We understand that some animals face greater challenges than others. In our state, the three most abandoned and mistreated animals are pigs, cats, and roosters. Our sanctuary places a special emphasis on rescuing and caring for these animals, addressing the specific needs of each species with expertise and dedication.

The health and well-being of our residents are paramount. Both our foster animals and permanent residents receive comprehensive medical care, which includes:
Vaccinations
We ensure that all animals in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations to protect them from preventable diseases.
Spaying and Neutering
We believe in responsible pet ownership and actively promote spaying and neutering to reduce overpopulation and improve the quality of life for animals.
Microchipping
For added security, we provide microchipping services to help reunite lost pets with their families.
